Jonathan Ablett, Curator of Mollusks for the Natural History Museum in London, discusses how the museum received an intact giant squid specimen measuring over 8 meters in length. Ablett goes on to explain the challenges of preserving such a large specimen, and some of the sights and smells associated with the giant squid.
